Portuguese Heritage Month
June is Portuguese Heritage month in Vancouver and across the Province of BC, Portuguese communities are celebrating Dia de Portugal on June 10th. Take your family and invite your Canadian friends to share in our culture, food, music and dance. Show them what it means to be Portuguese. Força Portugal! Saturday, June 10th – Dia de Portugal (Vancouver)
Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish is holding a free community lunch from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm to celebrate Dia de Portugal (Portugal Day). A free sit-down lunch will be provided with complimentary pop, water, coffee and tea. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Saturday, June 10th – Dia de Portugal (Burnaby)
The Portuguese Canadian Seniors Foundation will be celebrating Dia de Portugal (Portugal Day) on Saturday, June 10th. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate Portugal Day. Doors will open at 10:00 am. There will be an open bar and food will be made available for purchase. For more details check out the Facebook Event Page.

Saturday, June 10th – Portugal Day BBQ (Prince George)
The Portuguese Cultural Society of Prince George is celebrating Portugal Day with a BBQ. Tickets are on sale now. There will be a special guest attending: the honourable Maria João Boavida, General Consul of Portugal in Vancouver. Come on out and meet the Consul and celebrate being Portuguese. Please feel free to invite your friends and neighbours.

Saturday, June 10th – Camões Dinner & Dance (Kitimat)
The Luso Canadian Association in Kitimat, BC, is holding a Camões Dinner & Dance. Come out and celebrate Portugal’s greatest Poet “Luis Camões”. Enjoy a delicious homemade dinner and fabulous music by “DJ – Fernie Cordeiro” who will be playing a variety of Portuguese, Canadian, Brazilian and many other types of music that are sure to entertain every age group. Tickets are on sale at the Luso Lounge. Tickets will be on sale until Wednesday, June 7th.
