This list of FAQs contains the most commonly asked questions that I receive about Portugal in Vancouver. Hope you find it helpful.

Question: Is Portugal in Vancouver a non-profit?
Answer:  No, Portugal in Vancouver is a for-profit business registered with the province of BC.  I offer fee-based services such as advertising, market research, language classes and more. 

Question: Who are you?
Answer:  I can tell you that I am NOT the Consul General of Portugal. To learn more about me, see the About section.

Question:  Are you the Consulate General of Portugal in Vancouver?
Answer:  No, I am not (see above). However, you can find the Consulate’s contact information on my Community Contacts page.

Question:  When are the next festa or dinner and dance?
Answer:  Check my  Events page or subscribe to my Newsletter to find out about upcoming events.

Question: I subscribed to your Newsletter, but have never received an issue. Why?
Answer: Did you respond to the confirmation email to complete the subscription process? If not, then please search your inbox for an email from info@portugalinvancouver.ca and confirm your subscription. Please note that subscribing to my newsletter is a 3 step process:

    • Step 1: Fill out the sign-up form.
    • Step 2: Check your inbox and reply to the confirmation email.
    • Step 3: Add info@portugalinvancouver.ca to your safe sender list, so my newsletter goes to your inbox and not your trash can.

Question:  Where can I learn Portuguese?
Answer:  Portugal in Vancouver offers European Portuguese Language classes for Adults only.

Question:  When will you have a new session of Portuguese classes for adults?
Answer:  I offer two sessions per year. Sign up to my Waitlist to find out about registration dates.

Question:  Do you offer Portuguese classes for children?
Answer: No, I do not. However, there are two children’s schools that do; one in Burnaby and one in Surrey. Go to the Community Contacts page and look under “European Portuguese Language Classes” for their contact info.

Question:  Where can I buy Portuguese food? Find a Portuguese restaurant?
Answer: Go to my Community Contacts page and scroll to the bottom of the page for a list of bakeries, cafés, restaurants, and more.
