June 10th – Celebrate Portugal Day at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of BC
The Portuguese Cultural Centre of BC (formerly known as the Portuguese Canadian Seniors Foundation) will be celebrating Dia de Portugal on Sunday, June 10th. Everyone is invited to enjoy some good food and festivities. There will be an open bar and a variety of food will be made available for purchase. Reservations are not required, so everyone come on out and celebrate Portugal Day.
When: Sunday, June 10, 2018
Time: 11:30 am to 5:00 pm
Doors: Open at 11:00 am
Lunch: Served at 12:00 pm (noon) after the Portuguese Anthem
Schedule:
11:45 am – Singing of the Portuguese National Anthem by Joana Reis followed by a speech from our Consul General Dona Maria João Boavida
12:00 pm – Lunch will be served after the Consul General’s speech
12:30 pm to 3:45 pm – Acordeanista Joana Reis (dance floor will be open)
3:00 pm – Door Prize Draw (Must be present at 3:00 pm to receive it)
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm – Face Painting for kids (Arts, crafts and balloons)
4:00 pm to 4:45 pm – Rancho Folclorico Cruz de Cristo
Menu:
Sardinhas (3), Boiled Potatoes, Salad = $7.00
Bifana and Fries = $7.00
BBQ Chicken and Fries = $7.00
Filhos = $1.00 each
Pastel de Nata = $1.50 each
Food Tickets can be purchased at the entrance and food picked up at the kitchen window. All drinks are available at Bar (Cash Bar).
