Portuguese things to do in August

August Event ListingsAugust Event Listings

Summer is in full swing which usually means there aren’t that many events taking place in the Portuguese community.  The only “Portuguese thing to do” this month is the Annual BBQ at the Portuguese Canadian Seniors Foundation. It’s open to the public, so stop by and get a tasty plate of grilled sardines.

However, if you’re looking for more “Portuguese things to do,” then why not take advantage of this warm weather and get outside to visit some Portuguese landmarks in our own backyard?  Check out these places in B.C. that represent Portugal and the Portuguese people. Click on the links to learn more about these places and the men they’re named after.
