Above is a notice from the Consulate General of Portugal in Vancouver informing the public about a book of condolences for the victims of Portugal’s most recent forest fires. The Government of Portugal has also declared three days of national mourning. For a copy of the above notice, click here. 

For those who wish to pay tribute to the victims of the forest fires that have ravaged the Central and Northern regions of Portugal, there is an electronic book of condolences open now for signing until October 25th. Please feel free to share this information and email with friends and family.

For those who wish to pay tribute to the 64 victims of the forest fires that have ravaged the counties of Pedrógão Grande (Leiria), Gois and Penela (Coimbra), there will be a book of condolences open for signing at the Consulate General of Portugal in Vancouver.
