This fundraiser is being organized by the family of Julianne Morgadinho who is a part of our Portuguese community. We’re heading towards the holiday season, which is also the giving season. This month there are a couple of opportunities to donate to some great charities. There’s the “A Gift of Jules” fundraiser for childhood cancer and the Knights of Columbus Warm Clothing Collection.Click on the links here or in the list below to learn more about them and how you can help.

This fundraising event – ‘A Gift of Jules’ – is to help Julianne Morgadinho and her family raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Childhood cancer is not like the cancers that affect adults. Children’s bodies are a lot smaller and the side effects of chemotherapy are a lot more dangerous. Sadly the funding for childhood cancer is not as much as it should be, less than 4%.
