With summer coming to a close soon, that means events are slowly starting to ramp up again. So let’s ease into it with my latest list of Portuguese Things to Do for September. I’ll keep updating it with new happenings, so be sure to check back often for the latest updates!

RECURRING EVENTS:

MONDAYS – SATURDAYS:

Luso Canadian Association – Located in Kitimat, they are open from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.

FRIDAYS:

Luso Canadian Association – Located in Kitimat, they serve dinner every Friday night in their Luso Lounge. Reservations are required.

Portuguese Cultural Centre of BC – Located in Burnaby, they have been serving a delicious hot lunch every Friday for years now. There are also games and sports on their many TVs. All are welcome to attend.

Portuguese Club of Vancouver – On Fridays, they will be offering a Bifana with Fries and a draft beer for the special price of $15.00

SATURDAYS:

Portuguese Club of Vancouver – On Saturdays, they will be offering “Polvo a Lagareiro” with a draft beer for $24.00

SUNDAYS:

Luso Canadian Portuguese Club – Located in Penticton, their doors are open every Sunday at 2:00 pm with dinner served at 5:00 pm. They also have board games for all ages to enjoy.

Portuguese Canadian Cultural Society of Osoyoos – Open every Sunday (except for stat holidays) from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. They offer bifanas, cerveja, and tremoços. All are welcome.

SEPTEMBER 17, 2025 – Dia de Portas Abertas / Open House at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of BC in Burnaby.

SEPTEMBER 13, 2025 – Registration opens for Portuguese Classes at the Escola Portuguesa Nossa Senhora de Fátima Vancouver.

SEPTEMBER 20, 2025 – Festa das Vindimas (Harvest Dance) at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of BC in Burnaby.

June is Portuguese Heritage Month, so it’s time to show your Portuguese pride! There are lots of events and activities happening this month to celebrate our culture and people. Below is my list of Portuguese Things to Do for June. I’ll keep updating it with new happenings, so be sure to check back often for the latest updates!

JUNE 14 & 15, 2025 – Feast of Santo Cristo at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish in Vancouver. New or slightly used items are needed for the Bazaar. If you can donate, then please leave your items at the back of the church or at the rectory.

JUNE 21, 2025 – Festa de S. João / St. John’s Dinner Dance at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of BC in Burnaby

JUNE 29, 2025 – Festa Do Divino Espirito Santo at the Irmandade do Divino Espirito Santo in Surrey
