Online European Portuguese Classes for Adults
Portugal in Vancouver has been offering European Portuguese Classes for adults since 2018. Whether you want to learn Portuguese so you can communicate with your family or take a trip to Portugal, register with us to learn this second language spoken by more than 250 million people worldwide!
We offer Levels A1, A2, and B1 as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Provided below are links to a description of each level type offered by Portugal in Vancouver.
Basic User – Level A1 (Beginner)
Basic User – Level A2 (Elementary)
Independent User – Level B1 (Intermediate)
Our online classes are for adults aged 19 and older. You will meet for 2 hours once a week in a real-time virtual classroom with your fellow classmates and teacher. All classes will be held on Zoom which is a web-conferencing platform.
Our classes are taught by qualified and experienced teachers whose mother tongue is European Portuguese. You will engage in individual, pair, and group work and have ample opportunity to practice speaking Portuguese and receiving feedback from your teacher. You will also participate in offline learning activities in the form of homework consisting of worksheets and exercises from your textbook – Passaporte Para Português 1 – Edição Atualizada – Livro do Aluno which is recommended by the Camões Institute.
