This fundraiser is being organized by the family of Julianne Morgadinho who is a part of our Portuguese community. This fundraising event – ‘A Gift of Jules’ – is to help Julianne Morgadinho and her family raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Childhood cancer is not like the cancers that affect adults. Children’s bodies are a lot smaller and the side effects of chemotherapy are a lot more dangerous. Sadly the funding for childhood cancer is not as much as it should be, less than 4%.
